Linda Cox is a staff social worker in the Anxiety Treatment and Research Centre, St. Joseph’s Healthcare, Hamilton.  There, she provides assessment and treatment services for individuals suffering from a wide range of anxiety-based problems.  Before joining the ATRC in the late 1990s, she worked for 9 years in the Community Psychiatry Service at St. Joseph’s Healthcare, primarily in the areas of mood and anxiety disorders.  She is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences, and Chair of Group Studies for the Clinical Behavioural Sciences Program, McMaster University, where she coordinates the Group Studies Module for the Psychiatry Residency’s Psychotherapy Program, and the Group Module (Level 1) for the Clinical Behavioural Sciences Program. She also teaches in McMaster’s continuing education program in Addictions, and at Mohawk College’s Counseling Certificate Program.
