Cindy Kington received her undergraduate degree from the University of Western Ontario. Her postgraduate degree completed through the University of Toronto in 2004. She is a qualified Capacity Assessor under the Ministry of the Attorney General, and is a preceptor for undergraduate nursing students. She has extensive experience in geriatric psychiatry, both within the community (outreach programs, public Health, outpatient) and in inpatient settings. Her current role entails psychiatric consultation, liaison and education to inpatient medical and rehabilitation units at St Joseph’s Healthcare (Charlton site) and case coordination, assessment, and management of geriatric psychiatry patients through the Community Psychiatry Service.
