Dr. Mini Mamak graduated with her Ed.D. from OISE, University of Toronto in 1997.  She attained much of her forensic training at The Clarke Institute of Psychiatry, METFORS. She is currently a staff Psychologist with the Forensic Service at St. Joseph’s Healthcare at the Centre for Mountain Health Services.   She is also an Assistant Professor in the Department of Psychiatry and Behavioural Neurosciences at McMaster University.  Dr. Mamak has significant experience working with offender populations and continues to consult with Correctional Service of Canada.  She is a member of the board of advisory for the Canadian Critical Incident Association and is a co-founder of their subsection for mental health professionals.  She routinely consults with local police agencies and has taught at the Canadian Police College.  She has also been asked to consult with police agencies internationally and has been invited to lecture at the Turkish International Academy Against Drugs and Organized Crime. She has particular interests in the area of hostage negotiations, violent offending, malingering, and risk prediction.
